What we collect — and why
We collect only what's needed to operate the platform: account details (name, email, password hash), profile information you choose to share (specialty, career stage, city, bio, photos, preferences), messages you send, optional wali/family contact information you provide, your hospital/program name solely for Coworker Shield filtering, and basic technical data (IP address, device and browser type, pages visited) for security and analytics.
Pre-launch waitlist: until member accounts open, the only personal information we collect is what you submit on the waitlist — name, email, and optional specialty/city. Waitlist submissions are processed by Formspree (our form provider) and used solely to notify you at launch. No account data is collected because no accounts exist yet.
What we never do
- We never sell member data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We collect no identity documents, no selfies, no biometric data — there is nothing of that kind to show anyone.
- Photos stay blurred until you approve a reveal.
- Coworker Shield exclusion lists are never displayed publicly.
- No location tracking. No ad sharing.
Your rights
- On the waitlist? Email privacy@itefaaq.com any time to remove your waitlist entry. Once member accounts launch, you'll be able to delete your account and data from your account settings.
- Request a copy of everything we hold about you.
- California members: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@itefaaq.com — we will never discriminate against you for exercising them.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We also use privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymization) to understand aggregate usage — for example, which pages help people most. Analytics only runs if you accept our cookie banner. Declining (or a Do Not Track signal) means no analytics cookies at all — the site works the same either way. You can change your choice anytime by clearing your browser's site data.
How long we keep data
Profile and account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, photos, and messages are deleted — see Data Security for details. Anonymized, aggregate statistics (e.g., total member count) may be retained.
If something goes wrong
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law, describe what happened and what we're doing about it, and provide steps you can take.
Do Not Track
We honor Do Not Track signals. If your browser sends a DNT header, we treat it as a decline of analytics cookies.
