Not "we take security seriously" — the actual standards we build to, stated plainly.
We don't sell your personal information. Ever. To anyone.
In transit: every connection to Itefaaq is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS — the padlock in your browser bar, no exceptions.
At rest: our platform is built to store sensitive data — identity documents, license numbers, private messages — using AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by major financial institutions.
Passwords: never stored in plain text. Hashed and salted using modern standards (bcrypt or equivalent) — not even our own team can see your actual password.
Verification documents: government ID and license documents are stored separately from your public profile data and are never shown to other members.
Delete your account and your data, at any time, from your account settings — no phone call or support ticket required.
Request a copy of everything we hold about you.
Control exactly who sees your photo, and when — blurred until you personally approve a reveal.
Browse anonymously without appearing in anyone's visitor list.
Only what's needed to verify you and find a match. No location tracking, no ad sharing.
Your NPI or license number is never stored. It's used once, at signup, to confirm your credential is active — then discarded. What we keep is the result (verified or not), not the number itself.
Your ID photo and selfie are never stored by us. Identity verification runs through a dedicated third-party service; we receive a pass/fail result, not the images themselves.
What we do retain: the profile information you choose to share (name, specialty, city, bio, etc.), plus your hospital/residency program name — kept only so Coworker Shield can keep filtering out your own workplace, and never shown to other members.
Itefaaq is pre-launch. These are the standards we're building to — not a retroactive claim.
