Here's exactly how your data is protected.
Not "we take security seriously" — the actual standards we build to, stated plainly.
In one sentence
We don't sell your personal information. Ever. To anyone.
How data moves and where it sits
In transit: every connection to Itefaaq is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS — the padlock in your browser bar, no exceptions.
At rest: sensitive data — private messages and account data — is stored using AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by major financial institutions.
Passwords: never stored in plain text. Hashed and salted using modern standards (bcrypt or equivalent) — not even our own team can see your actual password.
No identity documents collected: we never ask for your government ID, and we never collect selfies or biometric data. There is nothing of that kind to store, leak, or show anyone.
What you control
Delete your account and your data, at any time, from your account settings — no phone call or support ticket required.
Request a copy of everything we hold about you.
Control exactly who sees your photo, and when — blurred until you personally approve a reveal.
Browse anonymously without appearing in anyone's visitor list.
Data minimization
Only what's needed to run the platform. No location tracking, no ad sharing.
NPI lookups are never stored. When you look up a doctor, the number goes to the federal registry and the result comes back to your screen — we keep no record of the search.
We collect no biometric data — no selfies, no face scans, no ID photos. Ever.
What we retain: only the profile information you choose to share (name, specialty, city, bio, etc.), plus your hospital/program name — kept only so Coworker Shield can filter out your own workplace, and never shown to other members.
